Terminal-native coding agent built in Rust by Antigma Labs (Race Capital backed). Public alpha preview at github.com/AntigmaLabs/ante-preview.

Sustained release cadence — 8 versions shipped in May (latest v0.preview.28, May 21; repo pushed daily). Four modes: interactive TUI, headless CLI (ante -p), ante serve (JSONL protocol for editor/web clients), ante gateway (Slack/Discord). 12+ providers including local llama.cpp (offline, no data leaves device).

Terminal-Bench 2.0 at 69.4% (rank #26 on the independent tbench.ai board; submission unchanged since January, now ~4.5mo stale; field leader at 90.2%).

Caution

Still alpha preview, macOS/Linux only, no GA timeline, no license file, no privacy policy, no pricing, ~2-person team, 29 GitHub stars.

Assessment

Status rationale

Tracked (maintained). Per the ACES v2 framework, Tracked is set when a tool is under research-based monitoring with official docs, community-or-analyst coverage, and no direct testing.

Ante continues to meet this bar: official documentation site (docs.antigma.ai), publicly accessible GitHub repo with sustained release cadence (8 releases in May; repo pushed 2026-05-28), an independent benchmark submission (Terminal-Bench 2.0 on tbench.ai), and confirmed investor (Race Capital via PitchBook). Promotion to Assessed remains blocked by the absence of hands-on internal testing and the lack of independent validation of vendor performance claims.

Alpha-preview status, missing license, and missing privacy policy are enterprise-procurement blockers but do not by themselves prevent Tracked classification — that classification reflects research evidence depth, not enterprise readiness.

Watch for

Movement triggers

Upgrade to Assessed if: hands-on internal evaluation conducted with documented findings, OR an independent third-party benchmark validates vendor resource-efficiency claims, OR enterprise pilot customer reference published. Upgrade pre-condition for any signal-level move: privacy policy published AND license file added to repo (both currently block enterprise consideration).

Downgrade to Detected if: release cadence stalls 90+ days, OR Race Capital relationship is publicly retracted, OR company appears dormant.
